CALL FOR PROJECT SITE SIGN-UPS: PATHWAYS TO THE FUTURE URBAN COMMUNITY FORESTRY PROGRAM

FORREST CITY, AR – The East Arkansas Regional Youth Employment Initiative (EARYEI) invites local municipalities, organizations, and community leaders in Lee, Monroe, Phillips, and St. Francis counties to recommend project sites as part of the second year of the Pathways to the Future Urban Community Forestry Program.

This initiative provides youth participants with paid summer work opportunities focused on improving community and environmental health through urban forestry. Worksite partners play a critical role by offering safe, impactful, and educational projects.

Eligible Project Activities Include:
– Trail construction and maintenance
– Tree planting and removal
– Corridor clearing
– Invasive species removal
– Cultural and commemorative resource preservation
– Habitat restoration
– Enhancing green space usability and food access
– General conservation management
